Ondo First Lady Celebrates Strides in Girl Child Empowerment and Protection As part of activities marking the year 2023 International Day of the Girl Child, the First Lady of Ondo State, Chief Mrs Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, has commended both state and non-state actors for the remarkable progress made in empowering and protecting the rights of the girl-child in the State.  The Wife of the Governor, in a press statement signed by her Press Secretary, Ms. Oluwatobi Fademi, observed that the International Day of the Girl-Child serves as a reminder of the importance of empowering and safeguarding the girl-child, while also advocating for their rights and education within the society.
