PRESIDENT TINUBU SACKS SERVICE CHIEFS

...appoints Musa, Lagbaja, Ogalla, Abubakar, Egbetokun, others

 President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, has approved the immediate retirement of all Service Chiefs, including Inspector-General of Police, Advisers and Comptroller-General of Customs, just as he immediately approved the appointments of new Service Chiefs to serve in their capacity. 


According to a statement signed by the Director of Information, Willie Bassey, on behalf of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, the newly appointed Officers are:

Mallam Nuhu Ribadu - National Security Adviser;

Maj. Gen. C.G Musa - Chief of Defence Staff;

Maj. T. A Lagbaja - Chief of Army Staff;

Rear Admirral E. A Ogalla - Chief of Naval Staff;

AVM H.B Abubakar - Chief of Air Staff;


DIG Kayode Egbetokun - Acting Inspector-General of Police;

Maj. Gen. EPA Undiandeye - Chief of Defense Intelligence; and

Adeniyi Bashir Adewale - Ag. Comptroller General of Customs.

Others are:

Col. Adebisi Onasanya - Brigade of Guards Commander;

Lt. Col. Moshood Abiodun Yusuf - 7 Guards Battalion, Asokoro, Abuja;

Lt. Col. Auwalu Baba Inuwa - 177, Guards Battalion, Keffi, Nasarawa State;

Lt. Col. Mohammed J. Abdulkarim - 102 Guards Battalion, Suleja, Niger;

Lt. Col. Olumide A. Akingbesote - 176 Guards Battalion, Gwagwalada, Abuja;

Maj. Isa Farouk Audu (N/14695) - Commanding Officer State House Artillery;

Capt. Kazeem Olalekan Sunmonu (N/16183) - Second-in-Command, State House Artillery;

Maj. Kamaru Koyejo Hamzat (N/14656) - Commanding Officer, State House Military Intelligence;

Maj. TS Adeola (N/12860) - Commanding Officer, State House Armament; and

Lt. A. Aminu (N/18578) - Second-in- Command, State House Armament. 


Meanwhile, President Tinubu has also approved the appointments of two (2) additional Special Advisers, and two (2) Senior Assistants. They are:

Hadiza Bala Usman - Special Adviser, Policy Coordination;

Hannatu Musa Musawa - Special Adviser, Culture and Entertainment Economy;

Sen. Abdullahi Abubakar Gumel - Senior Special Assistant , National Assembly Matters (Senate); and

Hon. (Barr) Olarewaju Kunle Ibrahim - Senior Special Assistant, National Assembly Matters (House of Representatives. 


The appointed Service Chiefs, the Inspector-General of Police and the Comptroller General of Customs are directed to act in their positions, pending their confirmation in accordance with the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

  WHY CELESTIAL CHURCH SHEPHERD WAS MURDERED  DURING SERVICE Suspected Assassins have killed the Shepherd of the Celestial Church of Christ, Hebrew Cathedral, Idiroko Border town, Ogun State during Service In Ogun State.  Tragedy struck on Sunday when gunmen suspected to be hired assassins shot and killed the Shepherd-in-charge of a Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) in Idiroko Border town of Ipokia local government area of Ogun State.  6 States where 379997 candidates will retake 2025 UTME from May 16 (SEE FULL LIST & PROCEDURE ) The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced a retake of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for 387,000 candidates across six states. JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, after a meeting held with education stakeholders in Abuja, admitted responsibility for the mass failure that trailed the examination. He announced that about 379,997 candidates in the just concluded 2025 examination would retake the examination.
