 FUTA VC TO DELIVER 3RD PRECISION NEWSPAPER PUBLIC LECTURE

… Jeff-Agboola to Chair event; as Olagbuji, Shodeinde, Itiolu share Panel Discussion


The Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), Prof. Adenike Oladiji will on Sunday, 26 November, 2023, deliver a lecture on Women Development at the 2023 public lecture of Precision Online Newspaper.



A statement by the Founder of the newspaper, who is also the Chairman, Digital Media Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ondo State Council, Olusegun Hakeem Adebumiti, stated that the event will hold at the Pharmacy House, opposite Ondo State Government House, Alagbaka by 2pm.


It added that Prof. Oladiji will speak on the theme, “Promoting Women’s Rights to Quality Education & Healthcare.”


Adebumiti also disclosed that the public lecture, a third in the series, would be chaired by an Associate Professor at the University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED), Ondo, Dr (Mrs) Yemisi Jeff-Agboola.


According to him, the keynote address by the FUTA VC would be followed by a panel of discussants who would further expatiate on the theme of the lecture.


“The discussants are; Dr (Mrs) Yetunde Olagbuji, a Consultant Public Health Physician; Dr (Mrs) Sidiqat Adamson Shodeinde, a Lecturer in the Department of Biochemistry, Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko and Ms Morayo J. Itiolu, a Public Health Practitioner and Convener, “Pad Every Girl Initiative”.


“Precision Online Newspaper was established in 2016 with specific interest in Media Content, Public Relations, and Community Services.


“The third public lecture is part of the activities marking our seventh anniversary. We have decided to focus only on the public lecture this year, while the presentation of awards to notable residents and indigenes of Ondo State has been put on hold for now,” Adebumiti said.
