ODSG CHARGES BUTCHERS ,COW DEALERS ON WHOLESOME MEAT SUPPLY TO MARKETS In its efforts to ensure that meat consumed by the people of the State is of good quality and affordable, the Ondo State Government, through the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, has met with various stakeholders in the cow business chain to discuss ways to ensure meat supply to markets in the State is certified for consumption. Speaking at a stakeholders meeting held at the headquarters of the Ministry in Akure, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, (Agriculture sector), Mrs Foluke Tunde-Daramola harped on the need to ensure that wholesome meat is supplied to various markets in the State so as to strengthen and promote public health. The Permanent Secretary added that abattoirs, both public and private, as well as other slaughtering slabs across the State must comply with best practices so as to guarantee quality meat.
