 ONDO CP URGES RESIDENTS TO REPORT COMPLAINT AGAINST POLICE TO CRU

  .....assures of Command's commitment to professionalism

Residents of Ondo State that have any complaint against Police action and decisions have been advised to report such to the Complaint Response Unit (CRU) of the Command.

The State Commissioner of Police, CP Abayomi Peter, stated this during the celebration of the Year 2024 Customers' Service Week, organised by the Nigeria Police Force in Akure.

Oladipo, who disclosed that the CRU also serves as a feedback mechanism for the Police, implored the people to develop trust in the ability of the Police to serve them better, noting that the Command remains committed to professional conduct among its personnel, at all times.

The CP urged all stakeholders to consider themselves as part of the security network in the state, and always inform the Police of any suspicious activity around them, assuring that their identity is safe.

He maintained that the mantra ‘Police is your friend’ is true and the Command will do all in its power to ensure a smooth  working relationship with law abiding citizens in the State.

A statement by the State Police Public Relations Officer, SP. Funmilayo Odunlami, added that the celebration is aimed at getting feedback from the people, to enable the Command evaluate its performance and public perception, noting that all observations and comments will be collated and forwarded to the Police authority in order to serve as a guide for improved service delivery, and strengthening of the Police/Public relationship.

The meeting was well attended by PCRC members, market men and women, representatives  of various groups and other stakeholders.
