ONDO CELEBRATES WORLD FISHERIES DAY To mark World Fisheries Day 2025, the Ondo State Government, in collaboration with artisanal fishermen and fish farmers, through the Department of Fisheries Services (Agriculture Sub‑Sector) of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, highlighted the vital role the fishing industry plays in the state’s economy and the livelihood of its people. In an address delivered by the Commissioner for Agriculture and Forestry, Engr. Leye Akinola on behalf of Governor His Excellency Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, the Governor said it is a joy to witness this year’s celebration in the state.
